Mental Health Consultation
If you are concerned about a student or a group of students who are
struggling with psychological health concerns but you're not quite sure
how to help, you can either make an appointment, call, or stop by the
Counseling Center to request consultation. Discussions with a counselor
will help you to deal effectively with these situations in both a preventative
and remedial manner. In more serious cases, you will receive assistance
in facilitating a referral to the Counseling Center.
Educational / Training Consultation
You may request Educational / Training consultation to supplement your
own or your organization's skills and knowledge. Included are training
labs, workshops, seminars, and supervision. Examples might include a
stress management workshop or a communication skills seminar.
Program Consultation/Evaluation
Program consultation assists your organization with successfully planning,
implementing, and evaluating your programs. Consultants can collaborate
with you to assess the needs of your target group, set goals, design
the program, supervise the implementation and evaluate the program's
service delivery.
Organizational Consultation
Organizational consultation assesses and improves interpersonal and
group functioning within organizations. The consultant serves as a facilitator
to focus on such areas as communication, decision making, leadership,
team relations, and conflict resolution. Specific services include needs
assessment, team building, and process observation.
